A Thanksgiving for Friends, from Friends.

If you didn't make it to Dinner Under the Bridges, here's another Komeeda pop-up for ya!

Last year, Komeeda collaborated for a Friendsgiving pop-up dinner at one of our partnering restaurants. We hosted our "kommunity" members for a multi-course Spanish style tapas meal in the "beer-house".

This year we're doing it bigger, better and in Brooklyn! We have partnered up with two of Komeeda's favorite chefs, Chef Showdown #2 & #3 champions, Chefs Florvil Valdez and Paula Ignacio . If you've been to our last two showdowns, you've had a couple of their to-die-for culinary creations, and now they will be teaming up and putting together an innovative multi-course Friendsgiving feast for the kommunity.

FRIENDSGIVING MENU

The pop-up menu is an exclusive batch of savory courses curated by Chef Flo & Chef Paula of Serve M.E. Now, using freshly picked ingredients & seasonal produce. The menu is vegetable forward, with some dairy and duck.

*No dietary restrictions can be accommodated for this meal.*


First

Harvest Antipasti - Raw, Marinated, Pickled, & Grilled Fall Vegetables served w/ Assorted Salts & Olive Oils


Second

Carrot Tagliatelle - Homemade Carrot Pasta, Carrot Top & Pistachio Pesto, & Parmigiano Reggiano


Third

Duck Confit - Confit Muscovy Duck Legs, Pumpkin Mole, & Kale Crisps


Fourth

Spiced Squash - Cinnamon & Ginger Roasted Delicata & Acorn Squash, Charred Brie, Candied Pecans, & Cranberry Gastrique


Fifth

“A Tipsy Pear” - Sambuca & Merlot Poached Bosc Pear, Maple-Lavender Ice Cream w/ Fig Balsamic Reduction


The Chefs:

Florvil Valdez, better known as “Chef Flo,” is a Personal Chef & Owner of Serve M.E. Now which offers clients personal catering & private cooking classes in the comfort of their own homes. Chef Flo is a New Jersey native with Filipino heritage. His professional experience of 10 years has cultivated a love and expertise for American Regional cuisine. He enjoys featuring local and farm-to-table ingredients in his cooking. Currently back in his home state, Chef Flo has honed his skills living across the country from the New England area where he studied culinary arts to the Southern California & Nevada region where Serve M.E. Now was born.


Paula Ignacio, a New Jersey native, has cultivated a unique skill combing both American Regional cuisine and her Filipino culture. She is a graduate from Johnson and Wales University, in Providence, Rhode Island. Her professional experience in hotel banquets, resort restaurants, corporate & personal catering, and local food trucks is a decade in the making. Paula is currently the Sous Chef at Serve M.E. Now where they provide in-home, on-site personal chef & catering services in the tristate area. Earlier this year, Paula became the Lead Food Creator at Serve M.E. Now’s Hawaiian food stand concept, Eemas Cuisine.
